2009 Donor and Partner Luncheon

July 9, 2009

The Chicago Public Library Foundation and the Chicago Public Library welcomed 150 donors, partners and friends to the 2009 Annual Recognition Luncheon on June 16 in the Harold Washington Library Center's beautiful Winter Garden. Lincoln scholar Harold Holzer--who has written 30 books about Abraham Lincoln--enchanted the audience with his little known Lincoln stories and credited public libraries with providing the research tools he needed in his pursuit of Lincoln knowledge. The luncheon followed the annual meeting of the Board of the Chicago Public Library Foundation, during which Michael Osanloo, EVP, Strategy for Kraft Foods, was elected to the Board.
